Terms of Rental
Template only (not legal advice). Australian consumer protection law applies to many rentals to the public. Have a Western Australia lawyer draft or review your actual rental agreement, especially what happens for faults, ending early, and collection.
1. Parties
The owner/lessor (Perth Appliance Rental) and the customer named in the rental summary.
2. Scope: existing laundry fittings
We rent appliances for spaces that already have suitable taps, drain, power, and (for vented dryers) a vent path. We do not change drains or do electrical work beyond plugging into suitable existing outlets.
3. Fees and Billing
Monthly rental fee as agreed, recurring until the rental ends under this agreement. Failed payments: insert your retry and default process after legal advice.
4. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery within agreed service area. Customer must provide safe access. End of rental: schedule pickup; machine must be accessible and in substantially the same condition subject to fair wear and tear (define with lawyer).
5. Faults and Remedies
If the appliance fails, customer must notify promptly. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on whether the failure is minor or major under the Australian Consumer Law. Do not copy US-style “as is” language without review.
6. Liability
Limitation clauses are heavily constrained for consumer contracts. Obtain advice; do not rely on this placeholder.
